Spiritual Growth in the New Year
Although many of us have set various goals and resolutions for the New Year, the most important goal, which is often forgotten, is to ‘be more like Christ’. With our busy day-to-day lives, it’s easy to forget to spend time with the Lord or grow spiritually. This year, make it one of your New Year’s resolutions to continue to improve your relationship with our Lord.
Develop a plan or schedule for yourself to ensure you grow closer to God. Devoting time to reading and studying the Bible is a great way to grow spiritually in the New Year. Perhaps choose a designated time every day to devote to your relationship with Christ or read a devotional.
If you would like to include your friends and family in your learning, you could also start a Bible study! Getting together with friends or family to study and discuss Scripture can often be a great tool to stay motivated. Choose a specific day of the week or month to get together with your loved ones and spread the Word of God.
Making a plan or schedule for yourself beforehand is essential in achieving your goals, and this includes your spiritual growth. When you have a plan, you’ll be able to develop habits over time, making goals more manageable and attainable throughout the year. When it comes to your relationship with God, there is no goal too big or too small!
We hope you’ll join us in our New Year’s resolution to ‘be more like Christ’.
